“Very well facilitated, easy to participate and engage while covering the needed content.” – Cezanne Vennitti, Aged Care CQI Officer (RN), Ngaanyatjarra Health Service

“It was brilliant and a good mix of theory and consultation with others.” – Jessica Johnson, Nurse Unit Manager, Baptcare

This 2hr interactive workshop has been developed to support both existing Registered Nurses (RN) and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EEN) within aged care service settings, newly graduated RNs and EENs who are new to the Aged Services sector, and RNs who may be placed within facilities, under Australian Government Skills Migration arrangements. The workshop focuses on the Aged Care Quality Standards, in particular Standards 1, 2 and 3, and explores the importance of care planning principles for ‘person-centred’ care, and the essential requirement of defensible documentation for client wellbeing, audit compliance and risk mitigation for team members and organisations.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the application of assessment, care planning, and documentation principles relevant to Standards 1, 2, and 3.
  • Apply care planning and documentation to case studies
  • Understand the principles of defensive documentation guidelines to support care recipient’s wellbeing and mitigate risk management for team members and organisations.

Target Audience: Existing Registered Nurses (RN) and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EEN) within aged care service settings, and newly graduated RNs who are new to the Aged Service sector, and RNs who may be placed within facilities, under Australian Government Skills Migration arrangements.

Tickets are 1 per person. A Reminder email will be sent to registered participants 1-2 days prior to the session including the zoom link and any handouts.
Please note that an essential requirement is that all participants gain access to a PC and/or iPad or mobile device, and use a headphone set, although they do not need to be in the same location. Training rooms without personal headphones can result in feedback which may impede training delivery and reduce participant enjoyment. Headphones do not need to be expensive units, and many people have their own personal headphones /mic that they use with their smart phones, which will be suitable plugged into the computer unit if this is your choice of set up,
