Peter Mackie has worked in the Health and Aged Care sector for most of his career. He spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer of two public hospitals and then a private hospital in New South Wales.

In 1997 Peter was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Christian
Brethren Community Services, an organisation that owns and operates retirement villages and residential aged care facilities. In the 17 years that Peter managed CBCS he led the organisation on a growth path that saw the total number of villages and facilities grow from 2 to 6, with a 10-fold growth in turnover, caring for approximately 450 residents.

Having managed organisations in both rural and metropolitan settings, Peter is familiar with the challenges that face both small and large organisations. Peter’s experience in management is complemented by his experience in governance.
