The Global Centre for Modern Ageing (GCMA) undertook an expansive study on older Australians’ wellbeing and response to COVID-19 restrictions, spanning March to July 2020.The research revealed the following:The resilience of older Australians and their preparedness to adopt new technologies to maintain social connection, and minimise the risk of virus exposure.Particularly, the use of telehealth services to access primary healthcare and manage risk. Julianne Parkinson, GCMA’s C.E.O., will present research findings, with a focus on telehealth, and discuss the opportunities for aged care providers, and the potential of telehealth to improve wellbeing of aged care service users, including residents, families, staff, and clinicians.
